Mayra is a heartfelt Marwari ceremony centered on the groom’s and brides’s mothers and their brothers (mamas). The mamas visit with gifts, blessings, and symbolic offerings to celebrate with their sister’s family before the wedding. It celebrates the lifelong bond between siblings and marks the family’s transition as the couple prepares for married life.

Accompanied by homely Marwari comfort food — warm, simple, and family-style lunch.

Breakfast features local Bangalore darshini-style flavors — fresh, comforting, and homely. Lunch transitions into rustic Rajasthani flavors — earthy, traditional, and festive.

The wedding day begins with Safa Bandhai, where families and friends tie the ceremonial safa (turban), symbolizing honor and readiness. This flows into the vibrant Baarat, a lively procession of music and dancing as the groom arrives in celebration. At the venue, the couple meets for the Jaymala, exchanging floral garlands in a joyful and symbolic moment of acceptance. The evening then moves into the sacred Phere (Saptapadi), where the couple circles the holy fire and takes the seven vows that seal their union for life.

The reception features a wide range of family-favorite flavors for dinner, creating a warm and celebratory finale to the wedding day.
